Anatomy of a Schoolbag

Designed to do more with less.

100% Recycled plastic bag textile

We remove complexity and embrace necessity by recycling plastic shopping bags into a textile. We believe our plastic textile is a practical solution to the plastic pollution crisis.

Solar panel

The solar panel charges during the child’s walk to school and transforms into a solar lantern to study for up to 12 hours. We believe that children should worry about calculating maths sums not the cost of purchasing kerosene and candles.

Retro-reflective material

Many children leave for school early in the morning and need to be more visible while walking. We believe that while the child looks right, left and right again, they’ll do so with a better chance of being visible and safe.

OffcutsMesh™ band

One of our seamstresses, Pauline, ingeniously came up with this signature band made of ALL our offcuts. She says she was inspired by how everything and everyone has a purpose and therefore valuable.

The trendy design

There’s nothing like a schoolbag a child can be proud of and feel good about carrying. That is why we let our creativity run wild to come up with a simple yet trendy schoolbag design that would standout from the crowd.

The quality

Our plastic textile is strong and durable as the plastic bags are fused together at a high temperature. It’s also waterproof because we understand that there’s nothing worse than wet books and a child not being able to show off their completed homework.
